· All team members must be a member of the Gillette Gun Club by the league start date of May 23,2011. · Teams will consist of 5 members plus two alternates. Members may be on more than one team. If team substitutions are made after classification date and that sub is higher class by known ability than the team, team could be moved to a higher class. · League will be for 14 weeks divided into 7 week halves. The first half will begin May 23rd& will end July 7th. The 2nd half starts July 11th & ends August 25th. Days of operation are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for league shooting or practice. The club will be open from 10am until 7pm to accommodate league teams or walkup shooters. We will not have any make-up weeks this year. Thursday will be when teams shoot make-up only. You san still make-up during the week on regular days, but we are allowing this extra day make-up rather then an extra week. Shooting ahead will not allowed on Thursdays. Once the 2nd of the league starts, no more make-up for the first half will be allowed. Your team is required to have 5 scores recorded for each of the 14 weeks to be in contention to win a trophy. If a team wins the first half, but doesn't complete all 7 weeks of the second half, they will forfeit their chance to win a trophy. Please don't get behind as it becomes very difficult to make- up multiple weeks. All first half targets must be shoot by the close of shooting on July 7th and all second half targets must be shot by the close of shooting on August 25th. No exceptions.
· Shooters may shoot ahead, but not until the half starts. Everyone must share the traps with others as the situation warrants.
· The total cost of league per team is $630.00 & this includes the $70.00 trophy fee charged each team. Individuals may pay by the week & the cost would be $9.00 or $8.00 if the team trophy/sponsorship is paid for.
· 50, 16 yard targets will be shot per week & the first 3-4 weeks will establish the classes. Their will be 4 or 5 classes depending on how many teams we have. The classes will be A, B, C, and D or AA, A, B, C, and D. If your team isn't classified by the fifth week your team could be AA or A. Please make every effort to stay current so that we can make classification easier. Your team can all shoot together and individually if necessary.
· Teams winning both halves will be class winners. Teams winning only one half will be involved in a shoot-off to establish the class champion. All teams will get a point for each week. If there are 6 teams in a class, the high score that week will be awarded 6 points, the second high score will receive 5 and on down to the 6th team getting one point. Points will be tallied for each half and the high point team will be the winner of that half.
· Managment will be responsible for posting the weekly scores & score sheets will be available for inspection if questions arise.
· Reloads may be shot if they conform to ATA specifications. Specs are; 7 ½ or smaller shot, 1 1/8 oz. shot max. & not to exceed 1290 fps for 12 gauge loads. 1 oz. & 7/8 oz. loads may exceed 1290 fps.
· The Gillette Gun Club will have shells for sale at $5.50 a box or $53.00 a flat. Prices are subject to change with market conditions'
· The Gillette Gun Club reserves the right to modify these established guide lines to deal with issues that may come up during the course of the league.
· All team members are expected to use proper trap shooting etiquette & gun safety.
· It would be helpful if the team members would use shell bags to capture spent hulls and dispose of them if not being saved. This will help in the clean up of the traps at the end of the day.
