Gillette Gun Club 2010 Summer Trap League

 

·        All team members must be a member of the Gillette Gun Club by the league start date of May 4,2010.

·        Teams will consist of 5 members plus two alternates. Members may be on more than one team. If  team substitutions are made after classification date and that sub is higher class by known ability than the team, team will be moved to a higher class.

·        League will be for 14 weeks divided into 7 week halves. The first half will begin May 4th & will end June 17th & the 2nd half starts June 29th & ends August 13th. June 22nd and June 24th will be make-up week for the first half & Aug 17th and August 19th will be the 2nd half make-up week. Make-up will be shot on Tuesdays & Thursdays only. Teams not having 5 scores per week at the end of each half will receive a 0 for those weeks. Only teams that register 7 team scores in each half will be eligible to compete for the overall trophy.

 

·        All first half targets must be shot by the close of shooting on June 24th & no second half targets will be registered till the beginning of the 2nd half on June 29th. All 2nd half targets must be shot by the close of shooting August 19th.

 

·        Shooters may shoot as many weeks in advance as they desire, but must share the trap with others as the situation warrants.

 

·        The total cost of league per team is $560.00 & this includes the $70.00 trophy fee charged each team. Individuals may pay by the week & the cost would be $8.00 or $7.00 if the team trophy/sponsorship is paid for.

 

·        50, 16 yard targets will be shot per week & the first 3 weeks will establish the classes. There will be 4 classes; A team 230 & up, B team 215- 229, C team 201-214, & D team 200 & below. Members may shoot individually or as a team. At the end on shooting on the fourth week, May 29th, any team not having 3 full weeks to use as classifying scores will be placed in A class.

 

·        Teams winning both halves will be class winners. Teams winning only one half will be involved in a shoot-off to establish the class champion. All teams will get a point for each week. If there are 6 teams in a class, the high score that week will be awarded 6 points, the second high score will receive 5 and on down to the 6th team getting one point. Points will be tallied for each half and the high point team will be the winner of that half.

 

·        Teams are responsible for posting their weekly scores & score sheets will be available for inspection if questions arise.

 

·        Reloads may be shot if they conform to ATA specifications. Specs are; 7 ½ or smaller shot, 1 1/8 oz. shot max. & not to exceed 1290 fps for 12 gauge loads. 1 oz. & 7/8 oz. loads may exceed 1290 fps.

 

·        The Gillette Gun Club will have shells for sale at $5.25 a box or $52.00 a flat. Prices are subject to change with market conditions'

 

·        The Gillette Gun Club reserves the right to modify these established guide lines to deal with issues that may come up during the course of the league.

 

·        All team members are expected to use proper trap shooting etiquette & gun safety.

 

·        League practice will be on Tuesdays & Thursdays during the month of April. Operating hours will be 4-6 PM.

 

·        It would be helpful if the team members would use shell bags to capture spent hulls and dispose of them if  not being saved. This will help in the clean up of the traps at the end of the day.
